Sleepaway Camp

Camp IHC is a traditional co-ed 7 week sleep away summer camp for children that are 7-16 years old. Sleep away means that the campers will come and stay for the entire summer without going home. They are away from their parents having fun all summer long. To make that happen we bring in awesome staff, like you, to make the summer incredible.
Every day at Camp IHC is an adventure and no two days are ever the same! We have one of the most dynamic camp programs in the country which is great for you… because you get to be part of the experience and get paid to do what you love all summer long.
We have over 650+ campers and 450 staff and it’s all about building connections. There’s no better place to spend a summer.

Located in the magnificent Endless Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, Camp IHC is a kids summer camp that has been providing young people with memorable summers since 1940.

It’s an opportunity for kids to unleash their innate curiosity, creativity, competitive instincts, and sense of adventure.

IHC staff have an opportunity to help bring in culture and teach kids lessons that they will take with them through the rest of their lives.

The Program

There are four things that make camp life at IHC the best in the summer camp industry: The staff, the campers, the facilities, and the programs. By bringing all that together, every summer we help raise happy children.
Our program has over 40 activity areas that are commonly known as the 4 A’s - Adventure, Athletics, Arts & Aquatics. These core areas each have their own specialized programs and have a variety of different roles in each area. Alongside all the major camp events, these programs help make a diverse, fun and exciting summer possible year after year.
Camp Traditions

Camp IHC, established 1940, is a place of traditions and all these years have created traditions that are part of our camp identity. Traditions like our Friday Night Campfire which sees the entire camp, over 1000 people, come together.
Traditions are such a huge part of the summer camp experience and as a Camp IHC staff member you will be able to join in on them with us. Whether it be spirit flagpole, celebrating birthdays or competing in famous events like Olympics & Survivor, you will be writing your own little piece of IHC history for yourself.
