Overview
The operations team are the superheroes of summer camp. Without them, camp just wouldn’t be possible!
The operations team or “the Ops team”, as they are known, are responsible for making sure that everything is working effectively behind the scenes. The Ops team make sure camp is looking great, that equipment is working or fixed, they make sure that everything is in the right place at the right time, and that everything is set-up, taken down, replaced, found, sorted, & built… you name it!

Organizational and Time Management Skills: An operations team member must efficiently manage multiple tasks, from logistics to facility maintenance. Strong organizational skills are essential to keep the camp running smoothly and ensure that all activities and resources are well-coordinated.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability: The ability to quickly address unexpected issues and adapt to changing situations is crucial. Whether it’s fixing equipment, adjusting schedules, or resolving logistical challenges, an operations team member needs to be resourceful and proactive in finding solutions.
Technical and Maintenance Skills: A solid understanding of basic technical and maintenance tasks, such as repairing equipment, managing utilities, and overseeing camp facilities, is important. Ensuring that the camp’s physical environment is safe, functional, and well-maintained is a key responsibility.
Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication with other camp staff is essential to ensure smooth operations. An operations team member must be able to clearly convey information, coordinate with different departments, and work collaboratively to support the camp’s overall success.
Attention to Detail and Safety Awareness: Maintaining a safe environment for campers and staff is a top priority. An operations team member needs to have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any potential hazards are promptly addressed.

Operations staff are part of our support staff team, you will eat breakfast 30 minutes earlier than the first group of campers. During the day you will help maintain the summer camp property to make sure it is looking incredible. You will help set-up for camp events, help maintain and fix anything that breaks, and assist where needed.

Yes! Our venue hosts many groups from early May to late September.

No. The Operations team do not live with campers. You will live together in an all-staff bunk.

Yes. On a regular schedule you will have one period off each day.
You will also have one full day and night off each week. This is your chance to rest, recover and try some new things on camp and explore new places off camp with other staff.
