Office Life at Summer Camp.

As a Camp IHC office team member, it is your role to provide incredible customer service for our families via communication, organization, and programming.

As a key member of the office team, you will assist our office manager in the daily running of the office.

Daily tasks include communicating with parents and clients via phone calls & emails, creating, collecting, and organizing camper and staff paperwork, looking after the inventory of the camp store, and making sure campers are scheduled for their summer phone calls home.

Other tasks will include organizing staff transportation, collecting and distributing incoming and out-going mail and proofreading important paperwork and documents for final approval.

FAQs

  • A typical day involves a lot of phone calls!  You’ll be the first point of contact for anyone calling the Camp IHC main line.  In addition to answering the telephone, office staff are also responsible for organizing outgoing and incoming mail, scheduling camper phone calls to home, and maintenance of critical paperwork.

    You’ll also organize incoming and outgoing mail and making sure campers and staff know when parent phone calls are scheduled.

  • The office team is a smaller group of (5-8) staff members. You will spend most days of the summer working closely with these people but will have time-off to build great friendships with our 400+ summer staff.

  • No. Office life at Camp IHC requires no formal qualifications.

    We’re looking for hardworking and dependent individuals who are looking for an incredible camp experience.

  • Our camp season runs from mid-June to mid-August. For this position you would need to be available for this period.

  • Typically no, but some office staff do live with campers because they wish to have that more in-depth summer camp experience.

    Please let us know when you apply which you would prefer!

  • Yes. On a regular schedule you will have one period off each day.

    You will also have one full day and night off each week. This is your chance to rest, recover and try some new things on camp and explore new places off camp with other staff.
