Every day we serve hundreds of coffees, teas, smoothies and drinks to hundreds of our team and company guests. It’s an incredible operation that requires a lot of planning, hard work, effort, passion & teamwork.

In 2019 we partnered with Moka Origins, a local bean to bar coffee provider that has a mission to generate real social change. With every cup of coffee sold, Moka plants a tree are actively working to make cacao and coffee a sustainable source of income for farmers around the world.

FAQs

  • The barista team starts the day with the preparation of the cafe and lounge. As with most other support staff, you will eat breakfast earlier than the campers.  As the day continues, you will help the cafe function to a high standard. You will help set up the stations, brew fresh coffee, stock the fridges and stay on top of inventory and of course, make and serve the most beautiful drinks on-site.

    The cafe is located in the staff lounge and will be open during dedicated hours in the evening before shutting down operations.

  • The barista team is typically 3-4 staff members. Not everyone will be on at the same time, as it is an onsite role you will have lots of opportunities to meet and spend time with our hundreds of other staff. You will get to know them well as they will be hanging out in the cafe and lounge in their own free time.

  • No. Our barista role is dependent on experience. We look for a ‘Can do’ attitude.

    The positions are great experience for anyone seeking future employment in the hospitality industry.

  • Yes! Our venue hosts many groups from early May to late September.

    If you are interested in staying longer at camp then please speak to us about this when you apply.

  • No. The barista team do not live with campers. You will live together in a staff bunk.

    If you are interested in working with children then please reach out to us to discuss other opportunities.

  • Yes, you will have one period off each day.

    You will also have one full day and night off each week. This is your chance to rest, recover and try some new things on camp and explore new places off camp with other staff.
